Catch 1 Billion Ducks Classes Tier List
Rank hunting classes by comfort, flock clear, and Feather cost — not fake permanent DPS.
This classes tier list ranks Catch 1 Billion Ducks hunter identities the way beta players feel them after the [CLASSES] title drop: by how fast they turn Feathers into a hunt you can actually aim, how they treat flocks versus bosses, and whether they starve your dog upgrades. Prices move. Names in the shop can shift. We rank roles, then you confirm the live lobby.
Use this page with how to unlock classes, active codes for the DUCKS Feather head start, and upgrade priority when a class and a gun both look shiny.
Ranking rules
- Comfort beats thumbnails. A Military Soldier kit you cannot track on mobile is not S for you.
- Feather efficiency matters. If a class empties your counter and only trims a few seconds, it is not S.
- Dogs still convert kills. A Pyromancer with no Dexterity still walks bodies to the freezer by hand.
- Boss Duck is a separate column. Farm S can be boss B if the fight needs different pressure.
- Costumes are not classes. Duck and Rex outfits stay off this list.
S tier — buy when Feathers allow
| Role | Why it is S | Typical phase |
|---|---|---|
| First paid combat class you can aim | Turns the local starter into a repeatable clear | Early, right after DUCKS |
| Fire-rate class on flock days | Shortens sessions enough to fund dog and gun rows | Early–mid |
S is an outcome. If your starter already deletes farm ducks and the wall is selling or fetching, do not force a class — fix sell ducks or Dog Dexterity.
Practical S tests after you equip:
- You sell more often in the same play window.
- Flocks die before they dive on your HP.
- You can still afford a dog upgrade the same session.
- Boss prompts feel shorter, not just louder.
A tier — strong once income supports them
Pyromancer and Military Soldier both land in A for most accounts until you have felt them. Flame pressure is excellent on clustered ducks. M4-style automatic fire is excellent if you can hold the reticle. Neither is automatically S on day one if the price strands your Jeff upgrades.
Buy A when:
- DUCKS is redeemed and you still have leftover Feathers after the purchase.
- Your current gun class is the measurable wall, not freezer logistics.
- You have already claimed Duckle so retrieve keeps up.
B tier — bridges and device mismatches
B includes the local hunter starter once you can afford a paid class, plus any paid class that feels worse on your platform than the kit you left. Keep the starter until the next class is in range. Skipping B by sitting on Feathers forever is how you play the same slow day for a week.
C tier — vanity and wrong-currency buys
C is spending Feathers on dog costumes while a class or Anti-Air Cannon sits one hunt away. Cosmetics do not rank here as hunter classes; they rank as a skip until combat shop rows are done.
Early / mid / late matrix
| Phase | Prefer | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Early | Redeem DUCKS, buy the cheapest class you can aim | Saving forever for a late shop tease |
| Mid | Class + gun that match flock density | Buying every costume “because it is next” |
| Late | Boss-ready pressure and feather-synergy guns | Prestige identities that ignore dog gaps |
Class versus gun versus dog
Classes change hunter identity. Guns change pellet math. Dogs change conversion. If ducks already fall and you still feel poor, the class was not the wall. If pickups leak, open the dogs tier list. If long-term rows are Feather-locked, farm feathers instead of another sidegrade identity.
A simple sentence:
Buy the class when hunt time is the wall; upgrade the dog when conversion time is the wall; buy the cannon when both still leave bosses standing.

After any shop patch, re-run a ten-minute day on the new class. If cash per minute does not rise, demote it in your personal list even if a creator still calls it meta.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is Pyromancer S tier in Catch 1 Billion Ducks?
Only if you can aim it and the Feather cost does not stall dog upgrades. Treat it as A until a short day proves the sell cadence rose.
Should I buy Military Soldier before a better gun?
Buy whichever removes the bottleneck you can measure. If flocks live too long, class or gun. If bodies sit on the pond, dog first.
Does the local hunter kit ever stay S?
It is S only until you can afford a paid class you can actually fire. After that it is a bridge, not a destination.
Do costumes belong on this tier list?
No. Rank costumes as skip-until-later. This page ranks hunter classes only.
How does DUCKS change class ranks?
It injects 100 Feathers, which can pull an A class into your early window. It does not rewrite which roles are valuable after the gift is spent.
